Charles Henderson completed the 2015 season with a 5-6 record. With their 3-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 5A region two, the Trojans earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. They have reached the playoffs every year since 2009 and will once again be in the hunt for a spot in 2016. Quarterback Noah Lowery returns for his junior season after throwing for 1,150 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore last season. The Trojans open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent UMS-Wright on Friday, August 26 at Memorial Stadium. Last year the UMS-Wright Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 12-1 and in first place in Class 4A region one. The Bulldogs lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 4A playoffs to Leeds by a score of 33-0. Charles Henderson and UMS-Wright have met a total of 4 times on the football field.
